The Blue and White Posting Forum
Overview
The Blue and White Posting Forum was founded to legally house The Blue and White in 2011. The Blue and White Posting Forum, legally The Blue and White Posting Forum Corporation, is a Canadian federally incorporated charitable named untaxed not-for-profit corporation. The Blue and White Posting Forum is the legal poster (publisher) of The Blue and White. It operates on a basis such that it does not interact with any money.
It is a tradition that the incoming Reviewer, General (also the Poster) will indirectly donate on the Forum’s behalf, the coming year’s expenses that are only the net domain name registration (10 $) and net hosting (50 $). The only initial fees, being the Canadian corporation registration (20 $) and federal incorporation (200 $) fees, were indirectly donated by Kent Kuran, the Founder in 2011.
The Forum, which is merely a shell for the Magazine, is controlled by all its Members. A Member of the Forum is defined as a Member of the University of Toronto Community, which itself is defined as a current or former, learner or teacher of the University of Toronto.
There are 2 Types of Members. Type 1 Members are just members of the University of Toronto Community. Type 2 Members are members of the University of Toronto Community that have contributed to the Magazine. No Member has the right to transfer their controlling capability and no Member can have their membership revoked. Only Type 2 Members have voting rights and the ability for run for positions (all nominations are done by oneself). There is normally only one venue to vote at, the Members Meeting which occurs every year. At this meeting, the Forum’s Statements of not dealing with money will be approved and the incoming Review Panel will be elected from among Type 2 Members. Any changes to the Regulations of the Forum would also take place then, however, due to the nature of the Forum it is unforeseeable as it has a very straight forward mandate.
The Forum is operated by the Review Panel which manages the Magazine. This Panel is simultaneously the Board of Directors (Chancellor), the Board of Officers (President) and the Board of Publicisers (Poster/Publisher), the Board of Revisers (Reviewer/Editor). Since the Forum does not deal with any monetary or managerial issues, repetition of positions is unnecessary. Furthermore, as the Reviewers oversee the work of the Reporters, an oversight system is maintained. For all purposes, the positions of Chancellor (Director), President (Officer), Poster/Publisher (Publiciser), and Reviewer/Editor (Revisor) are synonymous, along with any compounds thus formed.
